What is the Techniek Driedaagse (and what does it look like)? The Techniek Driedaagse is a massive technology festival. Everywhere you look, you see happy and enthusiastic faces marveling at the diverse world of technology. For those who have never attended this event, it can be hard to imagine what it’s like. Here’s a quick overview:

- Students from grades 7, 8, and the first year of secondary school from Aalsmeer, Amstelveen, De Ronde Venen, Nieuwkoop, and Uithoorn participate in technical workshops led by local technicians and many volunteers.
- Each student is present for an hour and a half. During this time, they attend two pre-assigned workshops; the last half hour is free for them to choose a workshop of their liking.
- Over three days, more than 4,000 students participate.
- The Techniek Driedaagse is divided into 11 different sector areas:
- Agri Horticulture, Automotive, Construction, Sustainability, ICT, Installation Technology, Logistics, Maritime, Metal & Plastics, Robotics, and Healthcare Technology.
- In each sector, workshops are held, and students get to know local companies working in that field.
- Students experience real technical tasks: they build a wall, change a truck tire, investigate the optimal functioning of a solar panel, and program a robot.
- Curious? Come and visit during the Open Evening on Thursday, October 10, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM!
